Love of the week: Little white dress

Whether you prefer a pure white dress or one with a bold contrasting colour, there’s a style to suit you. Team with stunning jewellery from Trisori.com for a dramatic effect. For that simple snowy shift dress, Trisori’s Half Moon earrings in blue will add a delicate movement to the strong shape.

To set off a more flirty, embellished frock, the Love Bird pendant, with its elegant bright tail, livens up the look with a mischievous twinkle.

For a funky tribal feel, pair an empire line LWD with Trisori’s Sunset pendant and chunky Olivia bracelet in purple.

The little white dress is fast replacing the traditional LBD as the wardrobe essential for sophistication, fun and relaxed glamour. From Gucci’s clean, space vixen lines

to Dolce & Gabbana’s romantic broderie anglaise detailing,

everyone has their own take on the LWD. you can definitely get a cheaper but equally cute version of the LWD in ASOS and boohoo:

Release your inner ice queen, or simply show off that gorgeous tan, using accessories to make your mark on this season’s trend. Now all you need is a cocktail.

Wanted: Loafers

Whilst most of us might think loafers are geeky or even, dare I say it, unfeminine, TE has very strong views on the matter and has hard evidence of the coolness factor these babies add to any outfit.

Just one rule - to be worn exclusively with trousers, the result of a skirt-and-loafer combo could be fatal.

My pick of the wide range of loafers I have seen around town has to narrow down to a top 3:

#1 Top Shop studded loafer
Honestly, cannot find any fault: price, comfort, cool factor. They have it all. And I just *had* to have them (husband will have a shock, he's still moaning about the last pair of shoes purchased...ahem...a 'few' weeks ago).

#2 The classic loafer
Traditional, evergreen, stylish - this one from Asos but many available on high street and the likes

#3 Loafers with heels
For those that really cannot do the whole flat pump thing these gorgeous Uterque heeled loafers will do the trick

TE thinks these are all very viable options for the fashion- forward girls out there, watch this space - come spring everyone will be lusting for your loafers!

Enjoy the great christmas season and give thanks for the lovely fashion gifts that you will no doubt receive :)

Yours Faithfully, TE

Stylishly Warm This Autumn

Autumn is here, and one of the lovely things it brings with it is the wonderful fall fashion. This can mean tight black dresses with big zips that nod to the 'fetish' trend, or even block, platform shoes that scream 70s, but for me it means cosy, comfortable, casual, after all, the worst part of the day has to be the commute and why make it even worse by being unbearably uncomfortable.
With that in mind, and credit card in hand, I set out to get my autumn wardrobe well and truly sussed - which, after a bit of research, includes these wearable, cosy and chic must-have autumn items:

The Cashmere Jumper: Hush, a brand I continually rely on for all my trendy, snug wear, never fails to create luxurious clothes that look as good as they feel. This cashmere crew neck is a favourite of mine from their new autumn range - navy blue with a metallic edge; a great tone for flattering pale skin like mine. Nothing keeps the cold out as much as a cashmere jumper - perfect for the chilly autumn days to come. £120

The Boots: The comfortable Uggs that have been warming everybody's feet for the last few years, have come back with a vengeance. A collaboration with Jimmy Choo, has got given them a new lease of life and the quality is better than ever! With their unique studded patern these shoes are one of a kind. Buy a pair of these, and your fashion cred will fly beyond belief! £347.50 (currently half-price)

The Snood: What is a snood I hear you say?!! I had been asking myself that very same question, and it wasn't until I bought one that I realised what a revolutionary wardrobe item this is. A round scarf that you loop over your head, silly as it sounds, not only keeps my ears and neck nice and toasty but it looks fantastic too and goes with almost everything in my closet! This Paul Smith Cable Knit Snood, is a definite must-have this season. £110

The Statement Trousers: For comfort or for street cred- I think these Jersey Cuffed Trousers are a perfect autumn purchase. Baggy and loose, they show off your figure without leeching on to your every curve. This statement harem cut has not left the building just yet. Asos do a great pair and for only £20.

Special Socks: For socks this season there is only one place you should look - Toast. They do what they say on the tin: keep your feet warm and toasty and, boy, do they do it in style. Instructions: put on immediately upon entering your lovely home for best cosy results. £59

Happy shopping!

Brights go with Tans

It’s that wonderful time of year when sun-kissed bodies start to appear all over London, as people return back from holiday or their weekend breaks, they return with a spring in their step and a glow on their face. This is perhaps the only time that we can wear the bright and bold trend, since everyone knows that vivid colours go with tans. However, this is a trend that is to be approached with caution – just a flash of hot pink there or bright green here is where it’s at this season. Here are a few of my favourite brightly coloured accessories that will add heat to any outfit without making you stick out like a sore thumb:

Prada‘s selection of eyewear will not only protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful rays, but the colourful strips of neon are sure to put a smile on anyone’s face, even if you have the holiday blues.

A Deborah Marquit French lace balconette bra in bright yellow. Yes, your underwear can be bright and beautiful too! Nothing will set a tan off more than the slight show of a bright bra-strap under a white vest.

Purple and orange seem to be the combination du jour, with celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez and Cheryl Cole embracing the trend. You can embrace it too with one of Hermes’ beautiful scarves. Sigh…

This fantastic Mac Electric Eel Eye Shadow nod’s to the 80’s but is all the rage this season. It is the perfect complement to a tanned face and will make any outfit that little bit more interesting.

I have fallen head over heals in love with this luminous yellow faux croc laptop case from ASOS, and at only £20 it’s a total steal. Lugging around that laptop just got way more appealing.

Nuts for Mango

Fashion is having a real thing with sheer shirts, we’ve seen the Equipment ones everywhere and in all their colours. They are gorgeous but I am all over the ones in the Mango collection.

Aside from the shirts, Mango has produced a great season: the colours are totally inspiring with nudes and sheer textiles, also I am loving the bold statement dresses and colour-blocking. They complement Trisori jewels very well *cheeky hint*!

I really like these two shirts:

They both work wonders with a skinny jean combo, with tailored capri pants or even for work a glam look with a suit.
Currently reduced to 20£ and 14£ in the Asos mid-season sale.

Yours faithfully,
xoxo The Eye
