Fearless

'Tis nearly the end of year, that excruciating time when we do the sums of our achievements during the year and set the (unrealistic) objectives for the new one. Not so many years ago TE set itself exactly one of these preposterous tasks, something absurd which was a combination of losing weight/ shop like there's no tomorrow AND find a boyfriend.

Honestly, you can see where that was going...!

This year, TE feels it has achieved most of the cherished goals (minus the weight-loss thing...damn you chocolate!). TE feels happy and, yes, one might even say fearless! Not in the arrogant pompous way but more in a self-secure and calming way. Life is good and it just keeps getting better - goes to show that a positive attitude can do miracles. Ok I am not going to get all self-help-bookey on you gals, we all know how uncool that is!

Having said that, however, I am dedicating my last blog entry of the year to something that is very fashionable: Comfort. (Yes, I did pick up on the pj trouser trend and No, I will most def not be adopting it).

My list of comfort items would have to include:
1) A soft and loose fitting boyfriend cachemire jumper, as available at JCrew:

2) My beloved Uggs, this year for my 3rd purchase it will be black:

3) Stretchy jeans, so much better than the ones you can barely squeeze into (and still have the cool factor), recently loving these from Comptoir des Cotonniers:

Ok so finally, as the ultimate comfort factor of the year TE would haste to recommend Shellac manicures - great colour, lasts for 3 weeks = hands permanently tidy!

My dears, have a great end to the year and an even better beginning to the new one...as they say in some countries, what you do on NYE you will do all year. (TE might be scoffing cheese and wines, not too shabby right?!).

Yours faithfully,
TE

Looking like Marilyn Monroe

“I don't mind living in a man's world, as long as I can be a woman in it.”

Looking fabulous during Christmas festivities may prove to be a little bit difficult. Too many parties and too much champagne.

Thankfully, my saviour friends prepared me in time to prevent any downfall and suggested some products to survive the party season (in style).

This morning I wanted to replicate Marilyn Monroe style (probably because I recently saw the movie: "My week with Marilyn"!) so I head towards the shower room with a mission: to help my poorly hydrated hair to gain volume and strengths.

First step: How to help my after-party hair

I used my Daniel Galvin Junior Organic Hangover Luxury Shampoo and Luxury Conditioner: These lovely products are perfect for this season of parties. They feature lavender essential oil as the key ingredient, to refresh and revitalise dull and tired hair.

The fresh lavender essential oils and vitamins packed into each bottle hydrate and detoxify – so stressed out tresses look glossy, and are left feeling, and smelling, fabulous.
They are also very affordable at £4.99 each.

Second Step: Make myself look like a bombshell
The uber-glamorous 50’s tight curl can be easily created with the Instyler.

Instyler is a 3 in 1 hair tool which creates salon-fresh looks (even if you are not a professional hairdresser). And because it straightens, curls and polishes with a rotating cylinder my hair-do looked more natural than with any other hair curlers. It is really worth a try if you are planning to play the Hollywood star role this Christmas season or if you are trying to be Marilyn Monroe, like I am!

Why not ask Santa to bring you one? It's £99 (please Santa don't be stingy!), available at Boots (please Santa don't be lazy) and it can be shared with your sisters and girlfriends... what more would you like from a Christmas present?

Enjoy!

A coffee with Jimmy Choo

When you drink coffee, you have 2 choices: conform or be stylish.
The old brown Starbucks cardboard sleeves tired me and the new Jimmy Choo Rika coffee cup holder helped my morning coffee break to be fashionable.

Cardboard is an old memory here at Trisori's headquarter. Jimmy Choo added a touch of style to our cups. Beautifully made with Mock Croc Leather and attention to details. Nothing says couture coffee more than Jimmy Choo and we finally have a reusable coffee sleeve that compliments our freshly manicured nails and our shoes. Being Italian and a caffeine addict, Rika leather coffee cup sleeve is a MUST have.

If you are looking for a last minute present, head to Bond Street or buy Rika online at: http://eu.jimmychoo.com/cruise-12/rika/invt/113rikamoc/

It comes in a variety of colours too. How haute!

Wanted: Loafers

Whilst most of us might think loafers are geeky or even, dare I say it, unfeminine, TE has very strong views on the matter and has hard evidence of the coolness factor these babies add to any outfit.

Just one rule - to be worn exclusively with trousers, the result of a skirt-and-loafer combo could be fatal.

My pick of the wide range of loafers I have seen around town has to narrow down to a top 3:

#1 Top Shop studded loafer
Honestly, cannot find any fault: price, comfort, cool factor. They have it all. And I just *had* to have them (husband will have a shock, he's still moaning about the last pair of shoes purchased...ahem...a 'few' weeks ago).

#2 The classic loafer
Traditional, evergreen, stylish - this one from Asos but many available on high street and the likes

#3 Loafers with heels
For those that really cannot do the whole flat pump thing these gorgeous Uterque heeled loafers will do the trick

TE thinks these are all very viable options for the fashion- forward girls out there, watch this space - come spring everyone will be lusting for your loafers!

Enjoy the great christmas season and give thanks for the lovely fashion gifts that you will no doubt receive :)

Yours Faithfully, TE

Christmas Stockings with style

Trying to decorate your house for Christmas can be overwhelming.
Thanks to Clements Ribeiro, I found the perfect Christmas stockings:

Seven one-off wool/cashmere flannel stockings embellished with vintage jet, velvet ribbons, vintage lace and bead trimmings. Created individually by the designers, combining Victorian and vintage beading embroidery, rare buttons and trimmings, each stocking is embroidered by hand.

The stockings are named after Father Christmas' reindeers: Blitzen, Donner, Dasher, Cupid, Rudolph, Comet and Popzin.

They are cute and stylish. Perfect for any fashionable home!

£150 - Limited Edition of 7.

Beauty tips: Bye Bye Panda eyes!

The run up to Christmas it's a crazy time of the year. Trisori's headquarter becomes incredibly busy with clients ordering their last minute gifts, overseas shops asking for immediate delivery..... and my beauty routine suffers because of it.

I thought I was destined to live with my Panda eyes until I found these 2 marvelous products:

Skin Wisdom Eye Roll: It's a lovely little product that helps reducing the appearance of Dark circles and puffy eyes. It retails for 7 pounds and it's worth a try as the massaging roll applicator boosts micro circulation and drainage.

Then I helped myself to Skin Wisdom Beauty Balm: The acerola cherry and moisturizing ingredients help skin to look fresher and less stressed. This is another small little beauty product to use together with the eye roll on. I was really glad to have them at hand after an event last Thursday! My face really looked less tired and it costs only 6 pounds!

And finally, before going to bed, I applied a Delicious Kit ChapStick:
to soften my lips and preserving them for morning use. My favorite is the Cherry Chapstick and I am going to buy the kit above as a stocking filler. Isn't it the cutest chapstick ever? And it's only 3.99 pounds.

 Enjoy!

Christmas Presents To Warm The Soul.

The weeks before christmas I find myself panicking about what I should get my family. For some, choosing presents for their friends and family is second nature, but for people like me I tend to get stuck after brainstorming ideas that, well simply don't fit in my wee budget! Presents, symbolise your love for the receiver, shows that you care however small or large the size. After jotting down some ideas in my notepad, I noticed there was a running theme: Comfort. Un- consciously I had listed presents that gave my family a sense of security: hot water bottle, slippers, candles, incense. Yes, maybe a chanel bag would be a more thrilling present to receive. But heart warming presents, for me, are just as lovely.

With this concept in mind I thought I would share some of my favorite gift ideas for this christmas.

Hush, the suppliers of all my favorite cosy cashmere cardigans, has produced a gift set especially for this festive season. Incorporating this seasons combination of 'in' colours, this makes the perfect gift, and for a great offer of for only £95 pounds.
For only £38 pounds, this Nectarine Blossom & Honey, Body and Hand Lotion from Jo Malone is an ideal stocking filler or present for any lovely lady! I have always lucked out with Jo Malone, as whom ever the gift is for it is always a very successful reception!

I saw this mug a few weeks ago and instantly fell in love... embracing this love at first sight i bought one instantly! Having your hot cup of tea (or coffee) in a 'christmassy' mug, heightens the festivity this joyful season brings. Worth £17.95 this cup is a brilliant pressie for all.

Last year in my annual pre-christmas panic, Neom Luxury Organic Candles came to the rescue. With the beautiful aroma of Cinnamon, Ginger and Mandarin, Neom has created a lovely warming christmas scent worth £40.

Hopefully, for those who share my lack of skill for christmas shopping- I have given you some ideas of perfect presents to warm The Soul.
